2018 HSA Limits
The 2018 contribution limits for HSA plans are set as follows:
Self-only maximum contribution of $3,450, with Family limit $6,900.
This is the limit whether the contributions are made by an individual, an employer, or some combination of the two sources.
HSA catch-up contributions (age 55 or older) $1,000 additional.
Catch-up contributions can be made during the year by HSA-eligible participants who will turn 55 by year-end.
Contributions for a given year may be made until the individual’s federal tax return due date for that year, without extensions, in which case the HSA administrator must indicate that post-yearend contributions belong to the prior calendar year.
